Fusion

Here is a great book for pastors or anyone wanting to improve the assimilation system of their church. Nelson outlines the key steps to the system that moves first time guests through the process of becoming fully engaged members of your church. The book also includes appendix sections on The Journey's Assimilation process and tools to help in the formulation of an effective system. This is one of the most practical books on Assimilation that I have read.

Some great guys

Last night was the kickoff for Global Celebration at Biltmore Baptist where they highlight the mission groups they support. It was a very inspiring night and I had a great time. One of the highlights is that I got to hang out with a few of the other church planters from Biltmore. They are a great bunch of guys! So here are a few to be praying for:

Mike Chandler and John Setterlind - Journey Church, Morganton. Next year these two are going to start a movement that will rock Morganton NC with the Gospel! Keep them in your prayers as they walk through the planning stages of starting a new church.

Ashely Evan- The Foundry, Corona De Tucson.I just want to go on the record and say that this guy is on my list of Heroes! Ashely left Biltmore last year and moved to Arizona with his family. They recently launched and are growing. Ashely is on the front lines in an area that is 95% unchurched. So keep him in your prayers.
